Carlos Santana and his musicians in SANTANA have been creating trends for Latin rhythms in rock music since 1969. From the beginning of the hippiemekka in California in 1966 the band was named Santana Blues Band showing that Mexican-American Carlos Santana (born in Tijuana) has a platform from traditional American music with increasingly stronger Latin elements. A globalization process in a single person and a single band, an artist of freedom and joy. One man, one name, one band.
