Kristian Grostad

The Norwegian singer-songwriter Kristian Grostad
was called both a «pop jewel» and an «undiscovered super talent» by local and national press after releasing his debut single Apple Trees and the Sound of Bees in 2015. The following single Too Weak was aired on and recommended by national radio, and got international attention through the blog Indieshuffle among others.

During winter and spring 2017 he has been working with the highly acclaimed Norwegian musician and producer Even Ormestad (Jaga Jazzist, Thom Hell, Darling West), and recorded his first EP. Inspired by artists and bands such as Thomas Dybdahl, The Shins and Wilco, Kristian combines indiepop- and acoustic singer-songwriter tradition in an unrestrained and natural way.

The first single, Slowly Drowning, from the forthcoming EP, was released on September 1st, and the song found its way immediately into a number of major and exclusive playlists, such as the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify in Norway, Sweden, and Iceland. There are great expectations for Grostad as he is set to release his EP.
